The Ministry of Education and Science (MES) along with Save the Children is implementing a grant project “Enabling Equity to Advance Learning” (EQUAL), funded by the Global Partnership for Education (GPE), a multi-stakeholder partnership organization that aims to strengthen education systems in developing countries.
The EQUAL project’s objective is to improve access and quality of learning through inclusive approaches in Mongolia. The project will have three components: 1) Inclusive Education; 2) School Feeding; and 3) Blended Education. Save the Children will be working as the Grant Agent (GA) for the EQUAL project throughout its implementation.
We are immediately hiring the following positions for the Project Implementation Unit of EQUAL (3 years). Project Coordinator:
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the overall management, leadership, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of the project implementation following the GPE and government regulations, procedures and requirements. He/she will support the Government of Mongolia in implementing the project successfully, ensure smooth implementation of project activities to achieve the project outputs and outcomes, and supervise the PIU staff. The Project Coordinator will work closely with the executing and implementing agencies, GA, Local Education Group (LEG), and other development partners and NGOs.

Monitoring & Evaluation officer:
The Monitoring and Evaluation officer is to work on the M&E (Monitoring and Evaluation) arrangements for the project including the Results Framework (RF), oversee data collection for the RF indicators, provide quality assurance on data collected, and collect relevant data and information from monthly and quarterly progress reports at the project level, and facilitate external evaluation surveys.

Administration and Procurement officer:
The Administration and Procurement officer will undertake a variety of office support tasks, working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion, incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results and manage procurement activities including recruitment of consultants in accordance with GPE regulations and relevant laws and procedures in Mongolia.

Finance officer:
The Finance officer will provide support project staff at PIU on the financial aspects to conduct the project activities, procurement in compliance with GPE requirements, grant manual, and relevant policies, and Mongolian government rules, procedures. S/he will take overall responsibilities for planning, organizing, executing and reporting on all financial transactions of the project and will act as key personnel to ensure safeguarding against ineligible expenditures.
