Save the Children in Mongolia has been implementing the project “Promoting sustainable, holistic and inclusive developmental support in early childhood in Mongolia”, funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, since March 2025. A kick off meeting was held on 24 April 2025 to introduce the project to newly selected target organisations. Mr L.Bayan-Altai, Resident Representative of Save the Children Japan in Mongolia, stated, “I look forward to fruitful cooperation with the new target organisations alongside our project team.” The project team presented the project objectives, implementation activities, and the contents of the Memorandum of Understanding to the participants.
At the end of the meeting, Mr L. Bayan-Altai signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the managers of the targeted family health centers and kindergartens, outlining future activities and mutual obligations within the project.
The “Promoting sustainable, holistic and inclusive developmental support in early childhood in Mongolia” project is being implemented in the Bayanzurkh, Chingeltei, and Songinokhairkhan districts of Ulaanbaatar city, as well as Bayankhongor, and Selenge provinces. The project aims to develop a model for supporting early childhood development in target communities, utelising local social service organisations (family health centres, branch commissions, and kindergartens). Successfully implemented modelling activities will be reflected in both national and local government policies and supported with the necessary legal frameworks.
