A power diesel generator donated to Health Center of Chandmani soum, Gobi-Altai province
Save the Children in Mongolia, in partnership with the Denan Project based in the USA, has been implementing a health project in Chandmani Soum, Gobi-Altai province since 2022. Funded by the Denan Project, the Soum Health Center has established a fully equipped dental cabinet and has been supported by human resources and medical equipment. In addition, in cooperation with the local council, the project donated a new mobile emergency vehicle to the Soum Health Center in 2023.
On 12 January 2026, the Denan Project once again financed and officially handed over a power diesel generator to the Chandmani Soum Health Center.

According to the Country Manager of Save the Children in Mongolia, Mr.Bayan-Altai Luvsandorj, the Denan Project has been implementing its activities step by step at the Chandmani Soum Health Center, beginning with the establishment of a fully equipped dental cabinet, followed by the donation of a new mobile emergency vehicle. “Today, we handed over a power diesel generator, which is essential for the Soum Health Center, one of the most critical facilities during power outages. This generator is durable and high-powered, and it can also support other critical facilities, such as local government offices, by preventing downtime,” he said. Dr.Bat-Erdene, Director of the Soum Health Center, received the generator and stated: “Chandmani Soum receives electricity from Altai city, the center of Gobi-Altai province. Throughout the year, harsh climatic and windy conditions result in power outages occurring 7-8 times per month. These frequent interruptions cause an unacceptable risk to the continuity of healthcare services for the community. Thanks to the Denan Project, we now have a reliable power generator, enabling us to deliver safe, continuous healthcare services to the community”.

The DP33YD model diesel generator has a capacity of 30 kVA/24 kW. It is durable, fuel efficient, capable of handling heavy loads, and commonly used in industry as a backup power source. It is suitable for outdoor installation, weatherproof and equipped with an Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS).
Additionally, the Denan Health Project, in cooperation with Save the Children in Mongolia, has been proudly implementing health projects in Chandmani Soum, Gobi-Altai province since 2022, and in Tudevtei Soum, Zavkhan province since 2025. Previously, the project was implemented in Tariat and Erdenemandal Soums of Arkhangai province.
