About the role
Save the Children is implementing the “Promoting Holistic and Inclusive Developmental Support in Early Childhood in Mongolia” project, funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, targeting Bayanzurkh, Chingeltei, and Songinokhairkhan districts of Ulaanbaatar City, Bayankhongor and Selenge provinces. We are currently seeking a dynamic Project Officer (PO) to support the implementation of the above project. Working under the overall guidance of the Project Manager and direct supervision of the Project Coordinator, the PO will be primarily responsible for implementing activities focused on raising awareness about the early identification and intervention of disabilities within communities.
The key responsibilities of the PO include planning, executing, and reporting on the awareness-raising activities of the project for parents and local residents. This role involves close collaboration with other project team members to achieve the project’s objectives.
Other tasks of the post holder include development and revision of training materials on parent participation, organizaiton of training workshops and design of awareness-raising activities and materials. By working with professional media companies, s/he will regularly conduct traditional media campaigns through national television, newspapers, and develop awareness-raising videos and posters, promoting the importance of early identification and intervention of disabilities and involvement in promoting the development of children 0-5 years old.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as social sciences, education, or public relations.
- At least five years of professional experience in project implementation, with a focus on education, child advocacy, or supporting children with disabilities.
- Proven experience designing and organizing training programs.
- Strong understanding of children’s education, social awareness, and advocacy.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with multiple stakeholders, including parents and early children.
- Knowledgeable about parent education and their participation in child development
- Strong planning, management, and coordination abilities, with the capacity to handle complex, diverse tasks and responsibilities.
- Previous experience in developing and implementing advocacy strategies and materials
- Proficiency in presenting complex information in a clear, concise manner with excellent writing skills.
- Fluency in both spoken and written Mongolian and English.
- Good knowledge of child rights and related laws.
- Familiarity with approaches for effectively communicating with varied audiences, including media relations.
- Willingness and ability to travel within the country.
