Vacancy for Meal Coordinator (Maternity replacement)

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the overall guidance of the Country Manager, s/he will be accountable for Program Quality Key Performance Indicators for quality programming, based on the latest thinking and practice of Save the Children International and will monitor project activities, expenditures and progress towards achieving the project goals. Also, development of monitoring and impact indicators for the project success, and enhancing the monitoring, inspection and evaluation procedures will be part of the job. S/he will be involved in quantitative/qualitative research studies for quality analyses and will apply the study findings to improve the design and development of new grant proposals to access funding. The MEAL Coordinator will also provide feedback to the management for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the projects, report monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual progress and assist the project staff with M&E tools in their work.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • University degree in development studies, business administration, economics, social science, statistics or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in design and implementation of M&E for development projects preferably with an international NGO.
  • Sound knowledge on child rights and development concepts.
  • Applied experience in developing tools and strategies for data collection, analysis and production of reports and leading/conducting various surveys
  • Demonstrated abilities in assessment techniques and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills, including time management, and ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Experience and skills in training and transfer of knowledge
  • Strong team-player with the ability to effectively work with colleagues across the organisation
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English and Mongolian
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
