Save the Children in Mongolia and Metagro Company Sign Memorandum of Understanding

Save the Children in Mongolia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Metagro Company. The MoU was signed on January 15, 2026, at the Save the Children office by L.Bayan-Altai, Country Representative of Save the Children in Mongolia, and B.Solongo, Chief Executive Officer of Metagro Company.

Under this MoU, the two parties agreed to develop broad, long-term cooperation in the fields of child protection and child labor among children in herder households. The cooperation will include conducting research, carrying out risk assessments, and providing training, information, and capacity-building support to stakeholders involved in the supply chain.

During the signing ceremony, L.Bayan-Altai introduced Save the Children’s ongoing projects and programs in Mongolia and stated: “We are pleased to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Metagro Company, which is introducing innovative practices in Mongolia’s agricultural sector. We look forward to working together in the future.”

B.Solongo, CEO of Metagro Company, presented the company’s operations and noted:“We operate with a strong sense of responsibility by producing high-quality agricultural and food products that meet international standards and supplying them to both domestic and international markets. Our company is committed to contributing to solutions for the many social, economic, and environmental issues facing nomadic culture and pastoral livestock herding. By signing this MoU with the internationally recognized Save the Children, we have laid the foundation for long-term cooperation in many areas.”

Save the Children is an international organization that has been operating in Mongolia since 1994, with a vision of a world in which every child enjoys the right to survive, be protected, develop, and participate. The organization works to create a positive impact on children and bring long-term, sustainable change in their lives.

Metagro Company, an investment of MCS Group, was established in 2021. The company is an agricultural complex located in Chandgana Valley, Kherlen soum, Khentii province, featuring a world-class cattle breeding farm, an internationally standardized livestock slaughtering and meat processing facility, and smart crop farming operations.
