Child Protection Resource Centre

The Child Protection Resource Centre has been operating since 2015. The Centre’s experienced specialist staff contribute to the development of a rights-based child protection system through a wide range of practical activities to empower child protection workers and others working in the field. In the past, more than 20,000 people have accessed the Child Protection Resource Centre through various training programs, workshops, consultations, and library services.
The Child Protection Resource Centre has a strong reputation for delivering innovative, evidence-based training tailored to clients’ needs, and contributing to Save the Children’s commitment to working with partner organizations to improve the quality of child protection response services and to raise public awareness of them.

Our centre offers the following services:
  • Classroom space: a comfortable venue that accommodates 15 people for training, meetings, seminars, and discussions.
  • Training: Classroom training on thematic issues relating to child rights, child protection, social work services, methodology for working with children and families at risk, case management, positive discipline techniques, stress management, and team management for capacity building of the staff of professional organizations, private organizations and citizens and communities based on the needs of target audiences.
  • On-the-job-consultancy: On-the-job consultations and advice with our specialist staff on issues of child rights and child protection, particularly concerning the role of social workers and multi-disciplinary teams in helping children who have been exposed to violence.
  • Open seminars: Open seminars with researchers and experts on child protection and the theoretical and practical aspects of social work.
  • Advocacy activities: Advocacy activities on child rights, child protection, and positive discipline techniques in cooperation with educational and other institutions.
  • Curriculum, handbooks, and guidelines: Methodological support for developing training curricula, handbooks, and guidelines on child protection.
