Child Poverty Reduction Program
The Child Poverty Reduction Program provides members of target households with the economic opportunities and skills they need to meet their children’s basic needs of health, nutrition, education, and protection. The program has three focus areas:
- Successful transition of youth: improving young people’s skills to work in a decent job in the future
- Supporting vulnerable families and children to meet their basic needs
- Introducing small pilot projects and initiatives to improve household livelihoods and food security
Save the Children has organized the Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge every year since 2017 in cooperation with the Development Solutions NGO to increase the entrepreneurial skills of young people. It is the first competition to be held in English, and according to international standards.
