FUMI MATSUMOTO

EDUCATION GRANT PROJECT MANAGER

Fumi Matsumoto joined Save the Children Japan in 2018 and is currently managing “Promoting Inclusive Education for Every Last Child In Mongolia – 2” funded by the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Before moving to the Mongolia office, she worked as a program coordinator in the Tokyo office of Save the Children Japan, coordinating projects in Mongolia and managing the Child Protection in Emergencies Professional Development Program for the Asia region.

Fumi received her bachelor’s in social sciences from Hitotsubashi University in Japan. She traveled to the UK and earned a master’s degree with distinction in International Education and Development at the University of Sussex after spending four years working as a presales product engineer at IT companies in Japan. She is a mother of a small daughter who resides in Mongolia with her.

Her interests include Inclusive Education, EdTech, and Early Childhood Education.
