THE CHILD PROTECTION RESOURCE CENTER

The Child Protection Resource Center (CPRC) has been operating since 2015. It aims to contribute to the development of a rights-based protection system by providing multiple methodological services for child protection specialists from both governmental and non-governmental organizations.

The number of children living in difficult circumstances and child rights’ violations cases have been steadily increasing due to a number of factors. Significant contributing factors are: high staff turn-over rates, overburden, lack of professional development support for child protection workers, lack of professionals, insufficient financial mechanisms for the child protection sector, poor reporting and referring systems for child rights’ violations. Coordination within this sector is also requiring more structured support.

The CPRC aims to contribute to the development of a rights-based child protection system through empowering child protection workers and other relevant staff.
