As a worldwide, non-religious, non-political, and independent children’s rights organization, Save the Children has been working worldwide since 1919 and in Mongolia since 1994.
Save the Children was founded in 1919 after WWI by Eglantyne Jebb, a courageous advocate for children\u2019s welfare. She drafted the Geneva Declaration on the Rights of Child that was adopted by the League of Nations in 1924 and her pioneer work helped shape the 1989 UN Convention on the Rights of Child, now the most widely ratified international human rights treaty in history. During the last 100 years, Save the Children has expanded and now operates in over 120 countries. Save the Children\u2019s Mongolia Program was launched in 1994 and operated with management support from Save the Children UK from 1994-2009 and from Save the Children Japan since 2009.
Our vision is a world in which every child attains the right to survival, protection, development and participation. We aim to create long-term sustainable changes in the lives of children while seeking substantial and systemic solutions to emerging challenges.<\/p>

    We work in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city, and eight provinces, to deliver the benefits of our programs to children in Mongolia. In 2022, more than 41,000 children received direct benefits from our actions.
