Since beginning operations in Mongolia in 1994, SC has been implementing programs in Child Protection, Child Poverty, Education, and Health across Ulaanbaatar and rural provinces.<br \/>\nWe are seeking a motivated and experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead and expand SC\u2019s engagement with the private sector in Mongolia and beyond. This full-time position, based in Ulaanbaatar, reports directly to the Country Manager. The role plays a key part in mobilizing both financial and non-financial resources from corporations, foundations, and individual philanthropists who share our vision of a world where every child survives, learns, and is protected.<br \/>\nThe successful candidate will have strong networks in the private sector, a deep understanding of corporate social responsibility (CSR), and proven experience in building strategic partnerships that deliver social impact and shared value. The role requires fluency in both Mongolian and English, strong communication and negotiation skills, and a passion for advancing children\u2019s rights and well-being through sustainable collaborations.<br \/>\nWe offer a competitive salary, generous benefits, and ample opportunities for professional growth and development. At SC Mongolia, you will join a passionate and talented team dedicated to improving children\u2019s well-being.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify, engage, and cultivate relationships with private sector partners (corporations, foundations, and high-net-worth individuals) in Mongolia and internationally.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and manage a portfolio of corporate partnerships to secure financial and in-kind contributions.<\/li>\n<li>Lead proposal development, concept notes, and partnership agreements aligned with SC Mongolia\u2019s strategic priorities.<\/li>\n<li>Develop creative fundraising campaigns and cause-marketing initiatives in collaboration with the communications and program teams.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct market research and mapping of potential partners, donors, and sectors aligned with SC\u2019s goals.<\/li>\n<li>Develop annual private sector fundraising strategies and revenue targets.<\/li>\n<li>Stay updated on CSR trends, ESG standards, and business sustainability practices in Mongolia and the Asia-Pacific region.<\/li>\n<li>Build long-term, trust-based relationships with corporate partners by ensuring high-quality reporting, visibility, and engagement.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with the programs and communications teams to deliver compelling impact stories, events, and campaigns for donors.<\/li>\n<li>Support SC\u2019s global partnerships team and liaise with regional and global colleagues to explore international collaboration opportunities.<\/li>\n<li>Promote SC\u2019s brand and thought leadership in the area of children\u2019s rights, child protection, and corporate engagement.<\/li>\n<li>Support the Country Manager in tracking funding opportunities, including calls for proposal, conducting research, grant writing, submission deadlines, and follow up interviews.<\/li>\n<li>Represent SC to donors and other key stakeholders, as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Any other duties as assigned by the Country Manager.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications and Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Development, or related field (Master\u2019s preferred).<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 5 years of professional experience in business development, corporate partnerships, CSR management, or fundraising &#8211; ideally within an international or NGO context.<\/li>\n<li>Proven track record of developing and managing partnerships with private companies and donors.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in both Mongolian and English.<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of CSR, ESG, and sustainable business practices in the Mongolian context.<\/li>\n<li>Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business priorities into impactful social initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of donor engagement, proposal writing, and contract management.<\/li>\n<li>Established network within the Mongolian corporate and philanthropic sectors.<\/li>\n<li>Entrepreneurial mindset with strong initiative and results orientation.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.<\/li>\n<li>High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to SC\u2019s mission and values.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.<\/li>\n<li>Willing to travel and work in the field, as required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If you are interested in applying for the BDM position, please send your resume and a cover letter, explaining how you meet the requirements of the job, to us via e-mail to <strong>mongolia.jobs@savethechildren.org<\/strong> by <strong>5:00 pm<\/strong> on<strong> November 21, 2025<\/strong>.
