Save the Children Japan has been implementing \u201cPromoting Sustainable, Holistic and Inclusive Developmental Support in Early Childhood in Mongolia\u201d project with funding from the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs since March 2024. The signing ceremony for the implementation of 3rd phase of the project was held on March 24, 2026, at the Embassy of Japan in Mongolia.<\/p>\n

The agreement was signed by H.E. Igawahara Masaru, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Mongolia, and Mr. Mitsuaki Toyoda, New Business Development and Institutional Partnerships Manager and Country Director of Save the Children Japan in Mongolia.<\/p>\n

Ambassador Igawahara Masaru noted in his speech that the newly approved project will continue the activities implemented in previous years. He highlighted that a total of USD 664,555 will be provided to Save the Children Japan in Mongolia to further expand and strengthen the activities of key local organizations supporting early childhood development, including family health centers, branch committees, and kindergartens. He expressed hope that the project will continue to grow sustainably in the future.<\/p>\n

Mr.Mitsuaki Toyoda emphasized that in the final year of the project, Save the Children Japan in Mongolia aims to build on its achievements by sharing experiences, expanding partnerships, and further strengthening its capacity to deliver tangible results. He also underlined the importance of working closely with government partners to ensure that good practices are sustained and scaled up, enabling all children\u2014particularly children with disabilities and developmental delays to receive appropriate support during the most critical early stages of their development.<\/p>\n

As well as\u00a0 Mrs\u00a0 Naranpurev, Director of the Department for the Implementation of Hospital Care Policy, Ministry of Health delivered remaks\u00a0 on behalf of the project\u2019s government counterpart. The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Embassy of Japan, Save the Children, and officials from the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Protection.<\/p>\n
