Ulaanbaatar, 2 February 2026 \u2013<\/em> Save the Children in Mongolia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Baganuur District Citizens\u2019 Representatives Khural. The MoU was signed at the Save the Children in Mongolia office by L. Bayan-Altai, Country Representative of Save the Children in Mongolia, and P. Tuguldur, Chairman of the Baganuur District Citizens\u2019 Representatives Khural. The signing ceremony was attended by T. Khashlyankhua, Head of the Baganuur District Child and Family Development and Protection Department, Save the Children Program Managers Yo. Nyamdavaa and A. Bayarmaa, as well as Child Protection Program Officers P. Tsedendamba and G. Tsolmon.<\/p>\n

Under the agreement, both parties will jointly provide methodological support, capacity-building training, and workplace mentoring for joint teams and child and family social workers across Baganuur district khoroos. The partnership will also promote the participation and leadership of general education school students in child development and protection through training and advocacy initiatives.<\/p>\n

A key component of the collaboration is the launch of the \u201cI Support My Friend\u201d programme, aimed at reducing peer bullying and fostering positive school environments. In addition, 25 specialists from the district\u2019s Child and Family Development and Protection Department and Education Department who work directly with children and families will be trained as facilitators of the Positive Parenting Methods Programme.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the signing, L. Bayan-Altai, Country Representative of Save the Children in Mongolia, introduced the organization\u2019s ongoing projects and programmes to the Baganuur district administration and expressed appreciation for the district\u2019s continued engagement. P. Tuguldur, Chairman of the Baganuur District Citizens\u2019 Representatives Khural, welcomed the partnership and highlighted the district\u2019s growing service demands.<\/p>\n

\u201cBaganuur District has a population of 30,000, with three general education schools and ten kindergartens. In addition, we provide social services to residents from five or six nearby soums. We have previously benefited from various trainings delivered by your organization, which participants found highly valuable. We are pleased to formalize our cooperation through this Memorandum today,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0he said.<\/p>\n
