For more information, please visit: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.savethechildren.mn\">www.savethechildren.mn<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the Role<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">SC is implementing the project \u201cPromoting Sustainable, Holistic and Inclusive Developmental Support in Early Childhood in Mongolia,\u201d funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. The project targets Bayanzurkh, Chingeltei and Songinokhairkhan districts of Ulaanbaatar, as well as Bayankhongor and Selenge provinces.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We are currently seeking a dynamic and qualified Health Project Officer (HPO) to support the implementation of this project. Under the overall guidance of the Project Manager and the direct supervision of the Project Coordinator, the HPO will support and coordinate activities focused on improving the Family Health Center (FHC) system and strengthening capacity, particularly in early identification and intervention of disabilities and in promoting the development of children aged 0\u20135 years.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Health Project Officer will:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Plan, implement and report on activities related to strengthening the Family Health Center system and capacity development for local communities.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate closely with project team members to ensure the achievement of project objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and revise training materials on early identification and intervention of disabilities.<\/li>\n<li>Design and facilitate training workshops and other capacity-building activities for staff of targeted Family Health Centers.<\/li>\n<li>Strengthen collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Health Departments in target districts and provinces.<\/li>\n<li>Support the planning and implementation of the DENAN health project, which focuses on strengthening rural hospitals, improving the capacity of medical professionals and providing dental services to remote communities, including herders and children.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain communication with the donor and prepare monthly and quarterly reports and updates.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This position offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute to SC\u2019s goal of ensuring that all children survive, learn and are protected. We offer competitive compensation, generous benefits and excellent opportunities for professional growth and development.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bachelor\u2019s degree in Child Health, Paediatrics, Medicine, Early Childhood Development (Master\u2019s degree preferred);<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in child health, medicine, or early childhood development;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">At least 3 years of experience working in a medical facility, including a Family Health Center;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Knowledge of early childhood development, developmental screening, disability inclusion and early intervention approaches is an advantage.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage multiple stakeholders, including parents and young children;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Experience working with government institutions, health authorities, and multi-sectoral stakeholders, as well as experience in implementing donor-funded projects and preparing technical reports, is highly desirable.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Proven experience in designing and delivering training, workshops, and capacity-building activities for health professionals and community stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Strong planning, coordination and management skills, with the ability to handle diverse and complex responsibilities;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Excellent writing skills and the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Resilience and willingness to work overtime as required;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Fluency in spoken and written English and Mongolian;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Willingness and ability to travel within Mongolia.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If you are interested in applying for this position, we invite you to send your\u00a0<strong>Resume<\/strong>\u00a0and a\u00a0<strong>Cover Letter<\/strong>\u00a0in PDF, explaining how you meet the requirements of the job, to us via e-mail to<strong>\u00a0mongolia.jobs@savethechildren.org\u00a0<\/strong>by\u00a0<strong>5:00 pm on June 18, 2026<\/strong>.
