For more information, please visit:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.savethechildren.mn\/\">www.savethechildren.mn<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the Role<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">SC is implementing the project \u201cPromoting Sustainable, Holistic and Inclusive Developmental Support in Early Childhood in Mongolia,\u201d funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. The project is being carried out in Bayanzurkh, Chingeltei, and Songinokhairkhan districts of Ulaanbaatar, as well as Bayankhongor and Selenge provinces.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Through this project, a strong foundation will be established for local public service providers\u2014including health centers, branch commissions, kindergartens, and other relevant institutions\u2014to deliver and promote holistic and inclusive early childhood development (ECD) support. The project will also strengthen the capacity of both central and local governments to advance holistic and inclusive ECD through improved policies, legislation and support for effective implementation, ensuring that sustainable measures are put into practice at all levels.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We are currently seeking a qualified and motivated Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Officer to join our Education Programme team. This position is currently funded through 31 March 2027, with the possibility of an extension. Under the overall guidance of the Project Manager and the direct supervision of the Education Programme Manager, the MEAL Officer will lead and coordinate all project-related MEAL activities, ensuring high-quality data collection, analysis, reporting, and learning to support effective project implementation and decision-making.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The MEAL Officer will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Design, coordinate and oversee comprehensive baseline assessments and other project evaluations;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Develop, implement and continuously improve the project\u2019s MEAL plan, including indicators, tools, methodologies and reporting schedules;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ensure quality collection, management, analysis and reporting of project data, including data related to gender, disability inclusion, child protection and psychosocial support;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Produce quarterly, annual and donor reports, ensuring accurate and evidence-based reporting against project indicators;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Conduct field monitoring visits, follow-up assessments, trainings and data quality assurance activities in project target areas;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Facilitate learning processes by documenting achievements, lessons learned, good practices and recommendations;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Collaborate with research institutions, universities, government counterparts and SC technical specialists to assess project outcomes and impacts;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Support the development of monitoring tools, research studies, publications, project proposals and future education programmes;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Provide technical support during donor monitoring visits and stakeholder meetings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to strengthening inclusive education systems in Mongolia while advancing evidence-based programming and learning. SC offers a competitive salary and benefits package, along with opportunities for professional growth and development.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bachelor\u2019s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Monitoring and Evaluation, Development Studies, Research, Statistics or a related field (Master\u2019s degree preferred);<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Demonstrated experience in MEAL, research, data analysis or project monitoring;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Experience working with government institutions, education authorities, universities, research organizations and development partners;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage multiple stakeholders, including parents and young children;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Experience in implementing donor-funded projects and preparing technical and donor reports is highly desirable;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Strong knowledge of MEAL frameworks, methodologies and tools;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Proven experience in designing surveys, assessments and data collection systems;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Excellent writing skills and the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Excellent written and spoken English and Mongolian;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Willingness and ability to travel within Mongolia.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If you are interested in applying for this position, we invite you to send your\u00a0Resume\u00a0and a\u00a0Cover Letter\u00a0in PDF, explaining how you meet the requirements of the job, to us via e-mail to\u00a0mongolia.jobs@savethechildren.org\u00a0by\u00a05:00 pm on July 19, 2026.
