<\/p>\nThe Seventeenth Session of the Conference of the Parties (COP17) to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) is being organized in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia between 17-28 August 2026. There are 197 parties to the Convention, bringing together policymakers, academia, the private sector, civil society organizations and communities around a shared vision to restore land and reduce degradation. COP17 conference in Ulaanbaatar is expected to be an important platform to initiate discussion for realistic, long-term cooperation between the Parties.<\/p>\n
Save the Children Mongolia has showcased our activities during its official opening on 18 August 2026, at Green Zone, B3 booth. Green Zone is open to the public and aims to raise awareness – linking desertification, land degradation, drought issues directly to the quality of life for everyone in future.<\/p>\n

Save the Children is participating actively in COP17, introducing our project results, insights and opportunities at B3 booth, Green Zone on 19, 20, 24 August 2026. Our visitors are also welcome to participate in various activities organized by our youth partners.<\/p>\n
Mr.Bayan-Altai Luvsandorj, Country Manager of Save the Children Japan in Mongolia has mentioned that \u201cSave the Children, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, will organize \u201cInvesting in Children and Youth for Land Restoration and a Greener Future<\/em>\u201d side event on 24 August 2026 at Blue Zone.
