-The \u201cSafe Families\u201d Program, which promotes positive parenting practices, is set to be implemented nationwide in Mongolia-<\/em><\/p>\n

Save the Children in Mongolia is conducting a series of training sessions to prepare facilitators for the nationwide implementation of the \u201cSafe Families\u201d Program. The training aims to equip educators and other professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to support parents, caregivers, and guardians in preventing violence against children and raising children through positive parenting approaches.<\/p>\n

The training is being organized in collaboration with the General Authority for Child and Family Development and Protection, the General Authority for Education, and the Capital City Department of Education.<\/p>\n

The first training session was held on 13\u201314 October 2026 at the conference room of the General Authority for Child and Family Development and Protection. More than 30 participants representing all nine districts of Ulaanbaatar and Tuv Province attended the training.<\/p>\n

The training was opened by L.Bayan-Altai, Country Manager and Representative of Save the Children in Japan. In his opening remarks, he highlighted the importance of providing parents with practical knowledge and skills to support their children\u2019s development and strengthen parent-child relationships.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday, we have a program based on international best practices that provides parents with the knowledge and understanding they need to guide their children appropriately and communicate with them effectively. We are working to make this program available to all parents across the country. You have an important responsibility to share and disseminate what you have learned here,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

B.Amartuvshin, Head of the Capital City Department of Education, also emphasized the program\u2019s potential to contribute to children\u2019s well-being and educational outcomes.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis year, 540,000 children are enrolled in schools in the capital, and there are more than one million parents. If these parents learn and develop their skills to become good parents, it will benefit education and the well-being of children. The Capital City Department of Education will give the program its full attention and make every effort to support its dissemination,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

In addition to Ulaanbaatar, facilitator training sessions for the \u201cSafe Families\u201d Program were held in Sukhbaatar, Khovd, Darkhan-Uul, and Uvurkhangai provinces as part of the nationwide rollout.<\/p>\n

The training covered key topics, including \u201cFamily Aspirations and Self-Care for Caregivers,\u201d \u201cChildren\u2019s Rights and Safety,\u201d \u201cPositive Parenting Practices and Attitudes,\u201d and \u201cCommunicating with Children with Warmth and Empathy, Guiding Them, and Helping Them Understand.\u201d<\/p>\n

Through these training sessions, Save the Children in Mongolia and its government partners are working to strengthen the capacity of educators and facilitators to promote positive parenting practices and support the creation of safe, nurturing, and violence-free environments for children and families throughout Mongolia.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
