Established in 1919, Save the Children is an international, non-religious, and non-political organization operating in more than 100 countries to promote children\u2019s rights and well-being. Its work focuses on child protection, child rights governance, education, child poverty, health, and emergency humanitarian assistance.<\/p>\n

Save the Children has been operating in Mongolia since 1994, implementing projects and programs aimed at strengthening child protection systems, improving equitable access to quality education, promoting the participation and development of children and young people, and supporting family well-being. These initiatives are carried out in collaboration with government agencies, local authorities, civil society organizations, and international development partners, with a strong emphasis on policy dialogue, mutual learning, and the exchange of experiences.<\/p>\n

With support from Save the Children Mongolia, representatives of the Association of International NGOs (AIN) in Nepal are undertaking a study visit to Mongolia from October 28-30, 2026. The program \u00a0officially began with a meeting with B.Munkhsoyol, a Member of the Parliament of Mongolia.<\/p>\n

Established in 1996, AIN Nepal is an association of 112 member organizations that promotes cooperation and mutual learning among international non-governmental organizations. The association works in partnership with government agencies, development partners, and national civil society organizations in Nepal.<\/p>\n

\"\"\u00a0 \"\"\u00a0 \"\"<\/p>\n

The purpose of the visit is to gain a deeper understanding of Mongolia\u2019s legal and policy framework for civil society organizations (CSOs), as well as cooperation between the state and civil society, citizen participation, policy advocacy, and the funding and sustainability of CSOs. The delegation also aims to establish connections with relevant Mongolian institutions and explore good practices that could be adapted to the Nepalese context.<\/p>\n

The visiting delegation comprises Mr.Sanjaya Dhoj Karki, Chairperson of the Association of International NGOs in Nepal (AIN); Ms.Reshma Shrestha, Programme Coordinator at AIN; Mr.Agni Prasad Upadhyaya, Policy Advisor at AIN; and Mr.Birendra Kumar Thapa, Project Coordinator at Save the Children Nepal.<\/p>\n

During their visit, the delegation plans to meet with representatives of Save the Children Mongolia, the Open Society Forum, and various government institutions to exchange knowledge and experiences.
